The Curious Prince ( color roughs)

Here are some of the color roughs I've done for the prince character, along with the under drawing, his shapes have changed a bit but I'm still working on him as well as his cast.till next time.

These in addition to the previous post are some early ideas for the little story i have fizzling in my head for my character design class. The semi-naive quick witted prince, the girl who is the quintessential street smart thief. And the man shrouded in mystery. These are all the first passes on the characters including some of the sketch book thumbnails I worked on in order to play with minor design elements and personality. I plan to sketch out the entire line up and see what results I get. stay tuned.

THE CURIOUS PRINCE

As always the preliminary stages of some new character designs. Just finished these up for class hopefully I can get a solid body of work from the theme I've got going. I was basically sketching and thought of Aladdin or the typical peasant boy falls in love with princess. But instead I wanted to switch the roles. which isn't anything new either I just though I'd take a crack at something that might be fun to do. Lets see what happens. The main page has a couple of other character while the line up features the 5 (the two in the middle are a duo)I have to focus on for class.

Heads

Some head I sketches I did in class after watching a video on Native American reservations in anthropology and a combination of ideas when listening to my lecture in character design class...of course I strayed a tad from some of the more realistic shapes...... but the shapes are the focus none the less.
